NEWS: Telemarque daughter breeds 6,000gns son in Perth October 2010.

Farleycopse Telemarque was purchased privately from Peter Foulger in February 2004. He is "genetic brother" to Farleycopse Turbo, sold for 28,000gns. Turbo and Telemarque are both sired by Doonally Prince, and their dams are ET full sisters by Hofmeister, and out of Nettlemore Edwina, natural daughter of the great show cow Nettlemoor Bunty.

Telemarque is an extremely muscly bull, who stands on very correct legs and feet, with an excellent head.

Telemarque's first calves born in 2005. Our first, a heifer, out of a pedigree limousin heifer, was on the Merial stand at the Royal Show, and sold to Aberdeen for £900 at 10 months old. Telemarque has had a number of commercial and pedigree calves born, and most have been easy calved, but from a muscly cow he can have calving problems, so for this reason we do not recommend him for use on heifers. However, as you will see from the pictures, the cross calves are the business!

His first 3 crossbred show calves won 1st, 1st and 2nd under Hugh Dunlop at Edenbridge Show in August 2006 and also won the interbreed progeny group of three class. (pic right)

His daughter Henna was supreme champion at the South Eastern Primestock Show 2006.

His daughter Gossamer was Heifer and Reserve Supreme at Maidstone Fatstock 2006 sold for £1368.50.

At Maidstone Fatstock December 2007 we sold two telemarque progeny. Chivas sold for £1.88/Kg (£940) at 10 months old, thus earning £3.05 for every day he was alive while eating, we calculate, and average of £0.77 per day in feed; and Oki sold for £1.80/Kg (£873) at only 10.5 months old (£2.65 gain in value per day alive)

Telemarque was sold to neil Hardusty, Cumbria, February 2008.

Semen available from Rumsden - £15 per dose.
