We first saw Kilcullen Ted in the bull testing station at Tully, where he was easily the pick of the crop of all breeds. He had previously won his class as a calf at the Ireland National Charolais Show (see picture).
Sired by Doonally New, currently the top sire in Ireland, he performed exceptionally well on test, and was purchased for 23,000 Euros, Irish record price. Ted is excellent value, and recommended for use on both pedigree and commercial cows. His first calves include two at Farleycopse, Heifer calf Champion and Reserve Bull Calf Champion at the English National Charolais Show at Newbury in Sept 2005.
