NEWS: MARCH2008: 10 Sylvain heifers averaging only 9 months old acheived a remarkable average of approx £7270 at the Palgrove female sale in Australia. Including the highest priced heifer of the day, 33,000 Australian Dollars (£15,314) see picture right. Another remarkable price was 17,000 australian dollars for a recipient carrying a pregnancy sired by Sylvain.

Sylvain caused sensation at Magny Cours Show in September 2004 when he won his class and was purchased in a private deal by Bova AI, Limerick for 50,000 Euros (£35,000). He had previously been placed 1st at Magny Cours in September 2002 and Charolais in October 2001. His dam is rated RR4 and her dam is rated RR4S. This tall, long, clean middled bull is a very impressive individual, and semen from him will be available in the UK from Rumsden. The pictures here were taken in Feb 2004 in the AI stud in Ireland.
