This is a selection of bulls that we feel would be of particular interest to commercial beef producers. The bulls have been selected based on their ability to produce a quality suckled calf within the commercial herd. If you have never used bulls from within the Southern Irish gene pool you may notice their ability to produce easy fleshing and many of these bulls are also excellent for docility. When we began using semen from Ireland amongst our pedigree cattle we worked on a daily feed requirement for calf creep and young bulls of 2.5% of liveweight per day. After 10 years of using a combination of British, Irish French bred sires at Rumsden we found that 2% is quite sufficient to acheive the same growth rates. With the current high cost of cattle feed, this 20% reduction can represent a significant saving.

Prices include delivery to your own flask or to that of your inseminator (eg Genus). VAT is charged at the standard rate. Semen is despatched by return from Semex UK. Invoices must be paid within 30 days, although new customers may be asked to pay in advance. Note There may be an additonal charge of £3.50 per straw to customers in the very North of Scotland (this does NOT apply to Genus Aberdeen customers).
