Doonally Prince

EBV CH27

Mirabeauce x Indulgente

Carlisle May 2007 - Gretnahouse Aberfeldy by Prince sold for 8,500gns as new pedigree herd sire to the Balbithan Herd.

Sire of top priced bull at Perth in Feb. 2004 - Farleycopse Turbo sold for 28,000gns to Ugie. Prince is an exceptional bull with conformation, power and bone. He was 1st and Res. Ch. at Charolles in 1999. Both his grand-dams have the RR4S rating. His sire, Mirabeauce, is very highly rated in France as a “Connecteur” sire, and was only the second “M” bull to be rated for Maternal Index so far. (The first was Meillard.) Our first bull by Prince sold at Perth in February 2003 for 4,000gns, and John Erskine’s son of Prince was Champion at Dungannon in March 2003 (see top left picture). Prince is producing good calves of both sexes, and works well on big rangy cows , like daughters of Impeccable and Hofmeister. The picture bottom left is Peter Foulger’s Prince son, Farleycopse Turbo, sold at Perth for the top price of 28,000gns. We have had no problems calving Prince calves, but he is not recommended for use on heifers.
