Rumsden Nessie

Pedigree

Sire: Newhouse Count (Brigadoon Ulsterman)

Dam: Hampton Finesse (Tattenhall Impeccable x Hampton Ballarat)

History

Nessie was shown as a yearling and two year old. She was 5th, and then the following year 4th, at the Royal Show. She won the heifer sweepstakes at Edenbridge in 1998, was charolais champion at the South Eastern Primestock Winter Fayre, and 2nd in her class at Smithfield. After producing two excellent calves, one of which won the King's Cup in Smithfield, we lost Nessie. Her third calf died inside her at 8 months gestation, and although we got it out, we could never get her to breed again. She was flushed once, giving 2 grade A embryos by Allanfauld Vagabond, which are still frozen.
